Business - PNP Prince Edward Island

Eligible for PEI PNP Business Impact Category - Work Permit Stream

  • You have a minimum verifiable personal net worth of $600,000 which has been accumulated through legal and legitimate sources in your own right.
  • You have a minimum education of high school equivalent.
  • Your age within 21-59 years old at the time of application.
  • You have transferable management skills and past employment or business-ownership experience.
  • Meet minimum language requirements equivalent to a band score of 4.0 on an IELTS test.
  • Intend to live and work in PEI and provide day-to-day active and ongoing management of your company from PEI.

Business Requirements

  • The PEI PNP will only consider registrations to establish or purchase and improve a business that contributes to the economic growth of the Province.
  • The PEI PNP will consider registrations to establish a new business and purchasing an existing business.
  • Franchises may be considered as eligible businesses if you can demonstrate that the proposed franchise is well-established.

Eligible Personal Investment

  • You must demonstrate that you will make an eligible personal investment of at least $150,000.
  • You have 24 months from the date you arrive in Prince Edward Island to implement your business and meet all commitments under your performance agreement.

Minimum Job Creation Requirements

  • There is no job creation requirement, but we recommend applicants create 1-2 jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
