Express Entry Draw Results – October 12, 2022

On October 12, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 4,250 invitations to candidates in the Express Entry pool. The draw was for all programs, which include Canadian Experience Class (CEC), the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The cut-off score for Invitation to Apply (ITA) was 500. It is 4 points lower than the last round, which was 504. Let’s look at the cut-off score and the number of invitations issued for the past 5 draws: Date August 17, 2022 August 31, 2022 September 14, 2022 September 28, 2022 October 12, 2022 Invitations issued 2,250 2,750 3,250 3,750 4,250 Cut-off score 525 516 510 504 500 As we can see, the cut-off score has been steadily getting lower because IRCC has been increasing the number of invitations issued in each draw.

In addition, many Express Entry candidates with high CRS score have been invited since IRCC has resumed draws for CEC, FSWP and FSTP applicants. Let’s look atCRS score distribution of candidates in the Express Entry pool as of October 10, 2022: CRS score range 601-1200 501-600 491-500 481-490 471-480 461-470 451-460 Total number of candidates Number of candidates 601 2,785 6,384 9,784 19,163 16,396 12,809 238,273 Assuming IRCC would continuously issue the same or higher number of ITAs, the cut-off score is anticipated to be lower in the next draw, possibly 495-500.
